The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. XIII supported the third and final leg of the National Innovation Agenda and Strategy Document (NIASD) 2023-2032 Regional Innovation Roadshows and Consultation Workshops in Mindanao on November 28 to 29, 2023 at the Sotogrande Hotel in Davao City.
The event was spearheaded by the National Economic and Development Authority-Innovation Staff as the National Innovation Council (NIC) Secretariat.
Highlights of the event include the ceremonial handover of the NIASD 2023–2032 to the Regional Development Council XI, inspirational messages from the NIC executive members, and sharing of Innovation Success Stories from innovation champions in the regions.

Moreover, an Open Forum and two Breakout Sessions (Consultation Workshops on the Regional Implementation of the NIASD 2023-2032 and Co-creation of the National Innovation Communication Plan) took place after which the presentation of outputs ensued.
A document that contains the country’s vision and long-term goals for innovation, the National Innovation Agenda and Strategy Document also provides a road map and the strategies for improving innovation governance; deepening and accelerating innovation efforts; and integrating and fostering public-private partnerships. The formulation of the NIASD follows a collaborative and forward-looking approach, benefitting from inputs coming from the academe, international experts, business sector, and various government agencies.
