The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. XIII has gained recognition as one of the Most Outstanding Accounting Offices for Calendar Year 2023. The awards were presented on the first day of the Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines (AGAP) Annual Convention on October 9 to 12, 2024 at the IEC Convention Center in Cebu City. Ms. Margie Ann E. Abulencia, Finance Section Chief/ Accountant III, represented the MGB Regional Office No. XIII at the ceremony. Notably, this is the second time that the Bureau has received the said award, with the first recognition presented in CY 2017. The award is an affirmation of the Bureau’s commitment to excellence in financial management comprising financial integrity, transparency, and effective budget utilization, significantly contributing to the government’s overall accountability framework.
